According to reports, “Amou Haji”, who used to live on roadkill for half a century, smoked a pipe filled with excrement and did not bathe for half a century
It has been reported that an Iranian hermit dubbed the “world’s dirtiest man” for not taking a shower for more than half a century has passed away at the healthy old age of 94, despite never taking a shower before.
In an article published on Sunday in the Irna news agency, it was reported that “Amou Haji”, a nickname for an elderly person that is endearing, died on Sunday in the village of Dejgah in the region of Fars in the southern province of Iran.
The local media reported that Haji hasn’t bathed or used soap in more than 60 years despite living in a cinder-block shack stained with soot. In his youth, he suffered emotional setbacks that made him incapable of washing himself.
It was reported in 2014 that Haji consumed roadkill, smoked an animal excrement pipe, and thought cleanliness made him sick. He was seen smoking multiple cigarettes at the same time in photos.
However, Iran reported that villagers had persuaded him to wash for the first time a few months ago.
A man who had not bathed for most of his life could succeed Haji as the unofficial record holder after his death.
Kailash “Kalau” Singh had not washed for over 30 years, according to the Hindustan Times, in an attempt to resolve all the problems facing the nation, and he hoped that by doing this he would be able to help end many of these problems.
Kalau, as the villagers gathered at night to take a bath, took a ‘fire bath’ rather than take a bath with water. The paper said Kalau smoked marijuana, lit a bonfire, and stood on his leg praying to Lord Shiva, instead of taking a bath with water.
Fire baths kill all bacteria and infections in the body, just like taking a bath with water. Singh claimed: “It’s like taking a bath with water.
