iPhone 14: 5 Rumours That Are Creating Buzz Ahead Of Apple’s Upcoming Event

In preparation for Apple’s upcoming September 7 launch event, here are 5 interesting iPhone 14 rumours you should keep an eye on before the device is finally unveiled.

It’s only a matter of days until the launch event of American tech giant Apple, where the latest lineups of Apple’s new iPhone 14 smartphones will be revealed, but rumours have been rife as much as ever leading up to the announcement.

The iPhone has been a yearly ritual for tech enthusiasts and analysts since the launch of the first iPhone in 2007 as a way of trying to predict the future, which has grown from patents to supply chain leaks to attempt to dissect the information in order to try and forecast what will happen when the product is finally released.

To keep you updated, here are five iPhone 14 rumours you might want to check out before Apple’s September 7 launch:

Camera sensor with 48 Megapixels

Apparently, the new iPhone models will come with the largest camera upgrade ever. The main (wide) sensor of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max will get bumped from 12 MP to 48 MP, making it the most exciting rumour circulating.

There will be no iPhone 14 Mini

There may be a time for you to say goodbye to the sweet, small iPhone minis, according to 9to5Mac. According to the outlet, Apple will bid farewell to the smallest iPhone model with the 14 lineup on September 7. With four iPhone models expected to be released on September 7, there should be plenty of iPhones to go around.

Display with ProMotion

ProMotion displays with refresh rates up to 120Hz were initially expected on all four iPhone 14 models, however this may not be the case, as Apple is more likely to only include ProMotion technology on the iPhone 14 Pro models.

Bringing Back The Old Battery Percentage Indicator

With the iPhone 14 Pro models, GSM Arena reports, the classic battery percentage indicator will be resurrected, meaning both the percentage and the battery level icon will appear simultaneously. It takes the form of a battery icon (with no percentage) on newer devices, while the iOS 16 beta shows a percentage inside the battery icon.

Front Dual Cutouts Appear Visually As One

Dummy units of the iPhone 14 Pro have been spotted with a pill-shaped cutout and hole-punches in the center, which will house the Face ID sensors and a better front-camera sensor.

It has been rumored that the redesigned notch will appear as a single cutout using unlit pixels from the display. According to GSM Arena, the software will control whether the pixels between the cutouts are illuminated or not.
