Good days of China-America will end in Indian mobile market! Know which reasons will have a bad effect on the market of these companies?

What do you see in the Indian smartphone market? First of all a glut of Chinese companies. Second, taking arbitrary and one-sided decisions of these companies. The good days of all these companies are about to come. The government is considering some big issues, on which after the decision comes, both the dominance and arbitrariness of these companies can be curbed. Let us know what is this issue.

Chinese companies dominate the Indian smartphone market. This is the case at least in the entry-level and mid-range budget segment. Apple and Samsung dominate the premium segment. If sources are to be believed, the government is considering many big matters related to the smartphone and mobile segment.

After the decision on these, the nature of the Indian smartphone market can change. This list includes right to repair, two types of charging ports, and banning Chinese companies in a budget of fewer than 12 thousand rupees.

These policies will have an impact not only on Chinese companies but also on American brands. Let us know how these three points will affect the smartphone market.

Will cheap Chinese smartphones be discontinued?

First of all, let’s talk about the ban of Chinese companies in the segment of fewer than 12 thousand rupees. If reports are to be believed, the government is contemplating excluding Chinese companies from the low-budget smartphone segment of Rs 12,000. Companies like Karbonn, Lava and Micromax will benefit from this decision.

However, phones from Samsung and Nokia also come in this budget. Samsung and Nokia are in a stronger position than any other Indian smartphone brand. In such a situation, these brands can benefit from the trust of the people.

According to the report of Counter Point, the budget segment with less than Rs 12,000 is the most popular segment in India. This segment is dominated by Xiaomi, Realme, OPPO, Vivo, POCO, Redmi and itel, Infinix and Tecno.

Meeting on the charging port

The government is also going to hold a meeting on the charging port next week. The purpose of this meeting is to eliminate different charging ports in the same segment. Actually, different for feature phones, Android phones come with two types of charging ports, separate for earbuds and separate charging ports for laptops.

Apple uses the Lightning port on the iPhone. In this way, users have to use different chargers for different devices. The government is working on a policy of only two charging ports.

If this policy is implemented then there will be one charging port for the features phones and another type of charging port for other devices. The biggest impact of this policy will be on a company like Apple.

Apple does not provide a charger in the box with its phones. Whereas for iPhone you have to use Lightning cable. A major part of the company’s earnings comes from selling chargers. In such a situation, this decision will not be less than a setback for the American company.

Right to repair

Right to repair is a very important matter. In the current situation, companies are arbitrarily run in the name of device repair. Let’s say there is a problem with only one button in your laptop, but the service center person changes the entire panel. On the other hand, talking about the smartphone, many times the screen of your phone gets cracked.

In such a situation, if you go to a normal shop, then it changes the touch panel or display according to the need. But this does not happen in the service center. There you have to change the entire folder. Such arbitrariness will end under the right to repair policy.

Companies will have to replace only those parts which are defective. Consumers will benefit the most from this policy. Under Right to Repair, the dependence on consumer companies will also end. They will get the right to get their device repaired.
