Chrissy Teigen Says She Lost Her Baby Son Jack Through An Abortion That Saved Her Life

She opened up about her “heartbreaking decisions” during her pregnancy during Propper Daley’s “A Day of Unreasonable Conversation” summit on Thursday.

A couple of years ago, when I was pregnant with Jack, John, and my third child, I had to make some difficult and heartbreaking decisions. Teigen told Entertainment Tonight at Thursday’s event that it became apparent that he and I wouldn’t survive without medical intervention.

Her moving essay for Medium in 2020 details losing Jack at 20 weeks after a partial placenta abruption and posting photos of her grieving on social media.

She wrote, “I asked my mother and John to take pictures, regardless of how uncomfortable I thought it would be. I explained to him that I would not have to ask for pictures ever again. He hated it.”

“At the time, it didn’t make sense to him. However, Teigen said, “I knew I had to remember this moment forever, just like I needed to remember us kissing at the end of the aisle, and just like I needed to remember our tears of joy after Luna and Miles.” In my mind, this story had to be shared.”

It doesn’t matter to me how much you hate the photos, or how little I care that you wouldn’t have done them. I lived it, I chose to do it, and more importantly, these photos are not for anyone but the people who have experienced something similar or are curious enough to wonder what it is like. I am only sending these photos to those who need them. It does not matter to me what people think.”
