Diverse business categories
________________________________________
We define diverse businesses as for-profit businesses located in the U.S. or its territories, regardless of size, which are owned, operated, managed and controlled by one or more U.S. citizens (or lawful permanent residents) matching any of the diverse categories listed below. Ownership meaning at least 51% owned by such individuals or, in the case of a publicly owned business, at least 51% of the stock is owned by one or more such individuals.
Small business categories
________________________________________
We define small businesses, in alignment with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) requirements, as for-profit businesses located in the U.S. or its territories, meeting SBA size standards for their industry (based on revenue or employee count), which are independently owned and operated and not nationally dominant in their field. SBA size standards vary by industry (e.g., Machine Shops can qualify as small with under 500 employees). We encourage businesses to learn more at the SBA website.

Our supplier diversity efforts
________________________________________
We are continually working to promote and facilitate diverse supplier engagement as a component of our overall corporate responsibility (CR) efforts. Our most up-to-date efforts and results can be found in our Comprehensive Report, located in our CR hub.
Our efforts also include engagement with external advocacy groups, including U.S government agencies, and membership in:
Through these partnerships, we often participate in conferences and outreach events, support supplier development activities, tool development, enable best practice sharing, access diverse supplier databases, and build diverse supplier awareness of our procurement opportunities.
"One of the most rewarding aspects of working with our teams, suppliers and other partners to advance diversity is the collective understanding that diversity brings value. We all have important roles to play, and the sum of our efforts can be transformational."
